Vola Guitars has announced the return of the OZ ROA, now reintroduced with the long-awaited “Luminous” finish, a phosphorescent treatment that glows in the dark for a striking stage presence. By day, its sandblasted black exterior exudes a subtle, understated menace. By night, it transforms into a radiant spectacle designed to shine in the shadows.
The new lineup also includes two additional finish options. The “Sandblasted White” model delivers a frosty, arctic-inspired aesthetic that highlights detailed wood grain, while the vibrant “DSE” finish offers a psychedelic gradient that bursts with color and personality. Together, these three finishes showcase the versatility and artistry of the OZ ROA’s design.
Beneath the eye-catching looks, the OZ ROA remains a high-performance instrument built for modern players. Its chambered Mahogany body with Ash top ensures resonance and light weight, while a one-piece Roasted Maple neck with a Modern C profile provides smooth, fast playability across the 12-inch radius fingerboard and 22 medium jumbo frets.
Electronics include a versatile HSS pickup set featuring Vola VS-I single coils in the neck and middle positions, paired with a Vola VHC humbucker at the bridge. A 5-way lever switch and mini coil-tap switch expand tonal options, from crystalline cleans to searing leads. Rounding out the premium specs are Gotoh 510T-FE1 tremolo hardware, nickel appointments, and a 42mm bone nut for stability and sustain.
Handmade in Japan, the OZ ROA ships with a Vola Custom Series gig bag and comes strung with D’Addario XTE0942 strings.
