VICTORY AMPLIFICATION Drops the MKX: A Feature-Packed Lunchbox Head That Refuses to Compromise

Victory Amplification has never been content to treat compact heads as stripped-down solutions, and the MKX may be the clearest expression of that philosophy yet.

This 50-watt, all-tube Lunchbox head packs a staggering range of professional features into a portable format, positioning it as a genuine do-it-all amplifier for players who refuse to choose between convenience and capability. With three footswitchable channels, dual master volumes, onboard reverb options and switchable power scaling, the MKX is built to handle everything from quiet home sessions to full-tilt stage work.

At the heart of the MKX is its versatile three-channel architecture. The Clean channel offers crystalline clarity with its own EQ, Gain and Level controls, delivering bright, chiming tones that suit funk, jazz and articulate rhythm work, while also hiding edge-of-breakup textures for players who like a little grit under their fingers.

OD1 provides classic Victory crunch, complete with separate Clean and Overdrive controls and two gain modes that cover everything from punchy rhythm sounds to saturated rock distortion. OD2 takes things further, delivering fluid lead tones and high-gain authority, sharing EQ and Level controls with OD1 while retaining its own dedicated Gain for precise shaping.

Beyond its channel flexibility, the MKX excels in real-world usability. Two footswitchable Master Volumes allow players to tailor the output stage or engage a level boost on demand, while the fully integrated effects loop makes pedalboards and outboard processors feel right at home. Victory’s power scaling system further expands the amp’s reach, letting users reduce the output from a roaring 50 watts down to a bedroom-friendly nine watts without sacrificing feel or response.

Reverb lovers are also well served. The MKX includes two distinct reverb voices: a vintage-inspired spring-style reverb for classic, drippy ambience, and a modern reverb derived from Victory’s The Deputy, capable of everything from subtle space to immersive shimmer. Each reverb features dedicated Level and Decay controls, offering fine-grained control over depth and texture.
