Balaguer Guitars has teamed up with The Acacia Strain guitarist Devin Shidaker for a brand new way to deal out punishing riffs, the all-new Diablo DS-7. At least that’s the sense I’m getting from the demo below.
The Balaguer Diablo DS-7 offers a Mahogany body with a carved Flame Maple cap in a stunning Gloss Duskwater Burst, outlined with natural body binding to give it a pretty classy look overall. Hardware-wise, the Diablo DS-7 is comes loaded with a Hipshot IBBY bridge and locking tuners
The Balaguer Diablo DS-7’s bolt-on, Comfy C profile neck is comprised of a 5-piece Roasted Flame Maple and Walnut laminate topped with a 16″ radius Pale Moon Ebony fingerboard and 24 medium-jumbo stainless steel frets. And of course it’s got Luminlay side dots light your path on dark stages.
At the heart of the DS-7’” voice are the Balaguer Devin Shidaker Signature Cauterizer pickups, perfectly calibrated to deliver searing highs, articulate mids, and devastating lows. With a three-way blade switch, a single volume knob (push/pull to split the humbucker), and a hidden side-mounted output jack, the controls stay streamlined and stage-ready.
Finished off with a spokewheel truss rod for easy setup tweaks and a matching Flame Maple 4×3 headstock, this guitar screams boutique performance in every detail.
