TAYLOR GUITARS – New GS Mini Bass Packs a Big Punch

The folks over at Taylor Guitars have just released a brand-new acoustic bass guitar: the GS Mini. As you have probably gathered, this is no regular bass. In fact, it’s Taylor’s first acoustic bass addition to their GS Mini line of instruments. In the video, Marc from the Chicago Music Exchange puts the GS  through its paces, and in his words, describes it as “super comfortable for the big fuckers like me, and the little fuckers who wanna play bass”. We’re sold.
This baby (almost literally, given the size) is ideal for artists on the road who would benefit from more portable gear. The bass features a 23.5″ scale length which is perfect for the traveling bass player. It also features Taylor’s new ES-B pickup system which allows for maximum clarity and volume so that it doesn’t get buried when rocking out. Lastly, the GS Mini comes equipped with a set of custom D’Addario nylon core strings, as well as a built-in preamp and tuner for the ultimate flexibility.
If this lil’ guy is everything you need in a pint-sized bass, be sure to head over to the CME website to hop on the deal! Pre-orders are starting at $699 and are expected to ship soon.
