Nearly two years in the making alongside Chino Moreno himself, KHDK has finally unveiled their Digital Bath pedal. Created by KHDK mastermind David Karon, this filter-delay modulation pedal is the first-ever stompbox engineered to channel the swirling, seductive textures of Deftones’ classic album White Pony.
“Digital Bath is the most complex pedal we have ever developed. It took us nearly two years to get it absolutely perfect,” said Karon.
At its core, Digital Bath is a filter-delay modulation pedal. It blends analog-style delay and lush filter movement into a liquid, shape-shifting tone. The filter section lets you control the mix of your clean tone and modulation, the rate of the pulsing movement, and the depth to which the filter dives into your signal.
The delay section adds another tonal dimension with up to 400ms of tape-style echo, while an internal kill-dry switch lets you run a fully wet signal – ideal for parallel effects loops or experimental routing. Add in a hidden trimmer control that allows you to fine-tune the number of delay repeats and you’ve got complete control over your Digital Bath.
Each Digital Bath unit is made in Europe, and the first 150 pedals ship with a hand-numbered certificate of authenticity, personally signed by Chino Moreno. Digital Bath is available now in limited quantities. Get it here for $249.99.
