Kentucky-based metal band Stonecutters are all about two things: big, sexy riffs and big, sexy gear. And you want a piece of that, right? Well, you’re in luck, because the band just put out an in-depth rundown with guitarist Nick Burks, who talks about some of the guitars he used to track their newest album. So pull up a chair, pop on some headphones, and get ready to talk shop.

In this gear-fueled adventure, Nick gives us the rundown of his DC-400, made by Carvin Guitars. It’s a pretty sweet axe, and Nick gives a very detailed, informative, and above all else, classy breakdown of the instrument and how it was used on the new record. The video is also peppered with plenty of behind-the-scenes studio antics, as well as a listen to some new cuts from the band.

As Nick states in the video, the new Stonecutters record is due out this year, and we simply can’t wait to hear it. And to coincide with the new tunes, the band is hitting the road in late-May on their “Gods & Monsters Tour”. While you wait for the dates (below) to approach, be sure to stream and buy their most recent record Blood Moon from their website and hit ’em up on Facebook.
