Sterling by Music Man has once again teamed up with Vulfpeck’s Joe Dart for a trilogy of four-string models that’re pretty affordable… and really cool looking.
Sterling by Music Man has revived the Dart I alongside adding the Dart II and Dart III. The Dart I feature a sole humbucker and a Sterling-shaped body, the Dart II offers two Jazz pickups and a contoured Music Man Caprice body shape, and then the Dart III offers up a split single coil pickup and a StingRay body.
“Jack Stratton and I are thrilled to team up once again with Sterling by Music Man to build affordable versions of the three best basses I’ve ever held in my hands,” said Dart of the basses.
“The Joe Dart I, II, and III represent three different sounds and feels, three different eras of bass, and three different shades of my own work as a bassist. The feel of these instruments is incredible, and the quality would be remarkable at any price point.”
All three models have a Soft Maple body and Hard Maple neck and fingerboard, with the Dart I and II having a 34″ scale and the Dart III having a 30″ scale. All three basses are available for pre-order here for $499 each, until May 31. So get moving if you don’t wanna miss out on these things – and you don’t. They’re cool as hell.
