Squier has amped up their Contemporary series with two brand new models – the Contemporary Active Jazzmaster and the Contemporary Active Starcaster.
The Contemporary Active Jazzmaster offers a pair of Squier SQR active ceramic humbucking pickups, a Roasted Maple neck and a sculpted heel, a 2-point tremolo bridge, and a set of sealed-gear tuning machines with split shafts. The Contemporary Active Jazzmaster is available in Shell Pink Pearl or Sunset Metallic here for $499.
Then there’s the Contemporary Active Starcaster, which features a sealed semi-hollow body for minimized feedback and dual Squier SQR active ceramic humbucking. The Contemporary Active Starcaster comes with a Roasted Maple neck, a sculpted heel design, a fully adjustable bridge with a stop tailpiece, and a set of sealed-gear tuning machines with split shafts for smooth tuning action and easy restringing. The Contemporary Active Starcaster is available in Gunmetal Metallic or Shoreline Gold here for $399.
