Spectre Digital has just introduced their new Icon Drums Classic Rock drum library, for everyone seeking a pretty beefy modern rock sound. The Icon Drums Classic Rock plugin comes with a complete mixer, with each channel having its own EQ, compression, transient designer, saturation, and reverb.
Outside being recorded with industry-standard microphones and mic-pres, Spectre Digital also captured the famous Glyn Johns overhead microphone technique to achieve that classic, overall kit sound. This technique can be heard on many of the projects he engineered, from The Kinks, The Who, Led Zeppelin, and The Rolling Stones.
Some other highlights include mix presents, microphone bleed on all kit pieces for ultimate realism, and a MIDI groove player for quick and easy songwriting. The Icon Drums Classic Rock is also compatible with electronic drum kits and allows you to load in your own one-shot samples.
