SPECTOR’s FRANK BELLO Signature Bass Is A Tribute To His Tone And Family

Anthrax bassist Frank Bello has teamed up with Spector Bass to launch his all-new signature model: the NC-4 Frank Bello. Designed for speed, tone, and serious stage presence, the NC-4 blends Spector’s craftsmanship with classic American bolt-on design – and adds Bello’s personal touch throughout.

Finished – the NC-4 turns heads with matching headstock, purple acrylic block inlays, and Bello‘s signature EMG P/J pickup set. From the contouring to the neck heel, every element is dialed in for performance.

The NC-4 blends Spector’s heritage with a modern player’s needs. It features an Alder body paired with a 1-piece Maple neck and Maple fingerboard, a tonewood combination that strikes a solid balance of warmth, clarity, and midrange definition. The neck profile is slim and fast – based on Bello’s favorite vintage instruments – and offers a 34-inch scale, 21 frets, and purple acrylic block inlays. A brass nut adds to the tonal brightness and sustain.

Electronics are kept simple and purposeful. The bass comes loaded with Bello’s signature EMG P/J pickup set, featuring a PCSX in the neck and an LJAX in the bridge. These pickups deliver tight, articulate tone with plenty of punch, ideal for fast pick playing, fingerstyle grooves, and aggressive metal lines alike. A straightforward control layout of two volume knobs and a master tone lets players shape their sound on the fly.

Other hardware details include vintage-style chrome tuners, a fully adjustable modern bridge, and factory strung nickel roundwound .045–.105 strings. The high-gloss finish, matching headstock, and bold inlay design give the NC-4 a look that matches its sonic attitude. It ships with a gig bag.

“My signature bass is built for players and offers incredible tone, comfort, and affordability,” said Bello. “From the neck profile to the woods, signature EMG pickups, and brass nut, this is my ultimate go-to for any gig, Anthrax or other.”

One final touch is that the NC-4 is finished in a bold Metallic Purple dubbed Tina Rose – a tribute to Bello’s mother and grandmother, using both their names. Get it here for $1,499.99.
