Spaceman Effects has reissued its classic Explorer six-stage analog phaser pedal. Sure the reissue is a little smaller than the original version, but the new Explorer is quite literally the same exact pedal.
The Explorer reissue features the standard Volume and Mix controls, with the latter acting as a pitch modulation when set to 100% wet. Then there’s the Resonance control for feedback, Range control to adjust the low-frequency extension of the phasing, and Rate control for the speed of your Phaser. The Explorer also offers a choice of five wave shapes via the Shape control, with a sixth option that disconnects the LFO and freezes the phase sweep.
