Solar Guitars has been on a roll lately, most notably introducing their signature model for Dismember guitarist Robert Sennebäck. Now they’re back and they’re slowing things down a bit with the EFR1.6KW, a signature model for Kirk Windstein of Crowbar and Down fame.
The EFR1.6KW features a fixed Tonepros locking TOM bridge and a set of EMG 85/81 active pickups. The Type EFR1.6KW also offers a set-thru neck/body joint design with 24.75″ scale, Mahogany body, and a fast Mahogany neck with an ebony fingerboard and 22 super-jumbo stainless steel frets. The EFR1.6KW is available in Tobacco Burst gloss finish.
“Designed together with Kirk Windstein of Crowbar and Down ,this revolutionary, feature-loaded and top of the line Solar Type EFR1 range guitar was created with a radical passion for design and an expert attention to detail,” wrote Solar of the model.
The EFR1.6KW is available here for $1,199.
