Solar Guitars is expanding their Chop Shop series of guitars with the brand new, very worn AB1.6FR Relik.
The AB1.6FR Relik offers up an Alder body finished in either a relic’ed White or Black, a C-shaped Roasted Maple neck and fretboard, and a Floyd Rose 1000 bride. For pickups, the AB1.6FR Relik comes loaded with a Duncan Solar Dual Rail in the neck and a Solar Modern in the bridge. As for the relic job, it’s definitely one of the nicer ones I’ve ever seen.
“Primer, nitro-Lacquer, fire, flame and 1000 old school luthier tricks to create this worn and torn Relik workhorse,” wrote Solar of the model. “Once finish is complete, assembly begins with the neck fitted with Solar locking tuners, Floyd Rose installation, pickups, copper shielding, electronics wiring, strings strung up and final set-up by our experienced luthiers to be ready for any level of professional stage or studio.”
