Seymour Duncan has just introduced their brand new Rail Series of pickups. The pickups are meant to retain the original characteristics of the original pickups while giving them new life with added clarity and tightness.
All the pickups in the new Rail Series are hand-built by Seymour Duncan’s Santa Barbara, CA team and offers an Alnico 8-bar magnet and 4-conductor lead wire. All pickups are vacuum wax potted to guarantee a “squeal-free” performance and are available in both 6- and 7-string versions.
The Rail Series includes:
- Nazgûl Rails single pickup, which is a brutal variation of the high-output Nazgûl humbucker, combining its unrelenting articulation and saturation with the clarity, tightness, and sustain of rail design.
- Sentient Rails single pickup, which is the ideal neck pickup companion to Nazgûl Rails, offering enhanced string-to-string balance, increased clarity, and sustain for intricate chordal passages.
- JB Rails single pickup, which combines the iconic Seymour Duncan JB Model’s powerful low-end, strong highs, and upper midrange bump with rail design.
- Jazz Rails single pickup, which offers a fresh take on the popular Jazz Model neck humbucker, combining its shimmering treble response and solid bass with rail design.
- The Nazgûl Sentient Rails set, which unleashes blistering highs, cutting mids, and precise bass, embodying the essence of modern metal.
- The Hot Rodded Rails set, which combines Seymour Duncan’ss classic JB and Jazz humbuckers with modern rail design, offering powerful low-end, strong highs, shimmering treble, and solid bass.
