Schecter and Avenged Sevenfold guitarist Synyster Gates have teamed up for the brand’s first-ever headless guitar, though you’re gonna have to wait a little longer to see it. Schecter has taken to Instagram to showcase their one of their previous Gates models (it looks like the Black and Gold one) getting its head chopped of by a guillotine alongside the date November 25.
Again, the model isn’t available yet, but you can check out Gates shredding on a headless model we’re all assuming is the new signature one below. It looks pretty damn cool. And if you’re not into the whole headless guitar thing, you can also grab one of the classic head-still-on models right here.
It’s worth noting that a 7-string version of the headless Gates model surfaced in June, though nothing ever came of that rumor and the video. The 7-string looks extremely similar – if not identical – to the one Gates is using in the below video, so I’m assuming it’s legit.
