Few guitarists embody fluidity, tone, and taste quite like Rick Graham. Known for his breathtaking command of the instrument, Graham has teamed up with Charvel once again to create a signature model that speaks directly to his musical ethos: the Pro-Mod DK24 2PT MPL, finished in a beautifully worn distressed satin Shell Pink nitrocellulose lacquer.
At first glance, the DK24 2PT MPL looks like a time-traveled relic, its nitro finish evoking the feel of a well-loved vintage instrument. Yet beneath the surface, this guitar is a thoroughly modern machine. The Alder body provides a resonant, balanced foundation, while the slim, bolt-on Maple neck reinforced with graphite is designed for speed, stability, and longevity.
Topped with a Maple fingerboard featuring a 12”-16” compound radius, 24 jumbo frets, and rolled edges, the neck is built for effortless playability, from chordal passages to rapid-fire lead runs. Luminlay side dots ensure visibility on even the darkest stages, while the reverse headstock adds a contemporary edge.
Electronics are equally versatile. A trio of Charvel Custom pickups, arranged in an HSS configuration, provide everything from sparkling single-coil cleans to muscular humbucker crunch. A five-way blade switch unlocks a wide palette of tones, with coil combinations designed to handle delicate cleans, classic rock textures, and searing high-gain leads alike.
The hardware underscores the guitar’s performance focus. A Gotoh Custom 510 tremolo paired with Charvel locking tuners and a Graph Tech TUSQ XL nut ensures rock-solid tuning stability, even under the most expressive whammy work. Chrome appointments add a touch of refinement to the distressed Shell Pink body, completing the balance of old-school vibe and new-school execution.
The Rick Graham Signature Pro-Mod DK24 2PT MPL is available now in Distressed Shell Pink for $1,799.99. You can also keep up with all our Charvel coverage right here!
