PRS’ HERMAN LI Signature Chleo Model Is Really, Really Expensive

Power metal shredlord Herman Li has partnered with PRS for the limited-edition Chleo signature model more than delivers. With only 200 units made worldwide, this is a performance-focused machine forged for speed, tonal flexibility, and technical mastery. It’s also really, deeply expensive. But it is nice… and expensive.

Built from a lightweight Mahogany body with a figured Maple top, the Chleo‘s sleek design is matched with a carbon-fiber-reinforced Maple neck and thin, ergonomic contouring, optimized for long, fast sessions with no shoulder strain.

The Chleo‘s 24-fret Ebony fingerboard sports a wide 20-inch radius, upper fret scalloping, and a cutaway scoop for easy high-register access. The custom Chleo neck profile is fast, thin, and reinforced for durability on tour or in the studio. It’s all dressed up with Eclipse Dragon inlays, gold hardware, and either a stunning Orchid Dust finish or a Charcoal Purple Burst finish that looks just as lethal as it sounds.

At the heart of the Chleo is a custom HSH set of Fishman Fluence Omniforce pickups, tailored for Herman’s massive tonal range. With a 5-way blade, push/pull controls on both Volume and Tone, and two mini switches on the backplate, players can access 13 unique voicings—from tight modern rhythms and liquid leads to chimey single-coil cleans. The onboard USB-rechargeable lithium-ion battery ensures hours of consistent active tone with no fuss.

Players can coil tap each humbucker, blend them with the middle single-coil, and flip between two distinct voicings per humbucker using the push-pull Tone knob. A Voice Inversion switch globally flips the default voicing, while the Tone Bypass switch allows for quick, effect-free tone shaping. It’s a studio’s worth of tonal control packed into one guitar.

Hardwise, the Chleo offers a Gotoh GE1996T double-locking tremolo with a PRS stabilizer to handle aggressive dives without losing pitch, while a PRS locking nut and Phase III locking tuners (18:1 ratio) keep intonation rock-solid under the most extreme techniques.

Get the PRS Chloe Limited Edition here for a cool $6,850. I told you it was expensive.
