Pigtronix has just unveiled their all-analog fuzz pedal, the Star Eater. The Star Eater offers two footswitches for choosing your booster and variable filter stage, as well as a precision-matched transistor across all pedals to really even out expectations. So basically they all sound good, which is nice.
The Star Eater also offers a rocker switch to alternate between Germanium or Silicon-styles of fuzz, and to choose between Scoop and Bump voicings. The Star Eater is powered by a 9VDC battery and is pretty much perfect for anyone who wants to get extra particular with their brand of fuzziness. The Star Eater is available here for $179.
