Neural DSP began taking pre-orders for their Quad Cortex back in January, and it’s finally here and it’s actually shipping! Which means that you too can become the proud owner of a Quad Cortex in a fairly short amount of time.
So why the hell do you need a Quad Cortex? Well, mostly because it’s the most powerful floor modeler on the planet with 2GHz of dedicated DSP from its Quad-Core SHARC® architecture. That means running run four amplifier models, stereo reverbs, a ton of other effects, and maybe even a few extra for your other guitarist (because they’re not great and you gotta hide ’em’ somehow) without experiencing even a hint of technical issues.
The Quad Cortex comes equipped with a unique biomimetic AI technology to clone your favorite band’s tone, which it’ll then learn and replicate down to the physical amplifier, overdrive, and cabinet. Neural DSP points out “our sophisticated neural network algorithm perceives sound akin to human perception, making it the most natural-sounding capture solution on the planet.” In short, it’s supposed to be the Kemper killer.
Oh, and the Quad Cortex comes with over 50 amplifiers, over 70 effects, and over 1,000 perfectly captured impulse responses.
