Not content with a slew of great signature guitars, ESP has also introduced two killer new LTD basses to their lineup!
Mike Leon MLB-4
Mike Leon of Soulfly and Cavalera Conspiracy has his own MLB-4 signature. The MLB-4 is based on the LTD B Series basses and is inspired by the design of Mike’s ESP Custom Shop bass. The MLB-4 offers a textured sandblasted finish on its Swamp Ash body, a complementing black satin headstock, and an open-pore finish on the back of its extra-thin 5-piece Wenge/Purpleheart neck.
The MLB-4 features a sturdy 6-bolt construction, a 35″ scale, and a Macassar Ebony fingerboard that includes offset mother-of-pearl dot inlays and 24 extra-jumbo stainless steel frets. The MLB-4 provides a premium active pickup set with two Nordstrand Big Splits, individual volume knobs for each picku, plus ABQ-3MS three-band EQ controls.

Fred Leclercq FL-4
Fred Leclercq of Kreator has his own FL-4 and it’s… sharp. The FL-4 offers a Satin Black that bursts to Red on the front and back edges of its body, a neck-thru-body construction at 34″ scale, an Alder body with an extra-thin 5-piece Maple/Purpleheart neck, and Macassar Ebony fingerboard with black binding and 24 extra-jumbo stainless steel frets. Its sound is driven by a single active EMG 35P pickup.
