MXR Brings Back The Classic Rockman X100

MXR is throwing it way back to 1982 with their MXR Rockman X100 Preamp Pedal.

The original Rockman X100 was designed by Boston’s Tom Scholz and brought that chorus-laden sound to the airwaves via ’80s arena rock. Now in 2025, MXR is bringing that original Rockman X100 magic back in a new, compact, stompbox preamp pedal. The Rockman X100 pedal features four distinct preset modes — two clean and two dirty — alongside some compression to really bring out those shining cleans and massive crunch tones that used to dominate.

The new MXR Rockman X100 includes Volume and Input Gain sliders that allow you to directly control how your incoming signal interacts with both the preamp and your amplifier, and comes equipped with the same MN3007 bucket brigade chip found in the classic model.

Get the MXR Rockman X100 Preamp Pedal here for $229.99.
