Morley has teamed up with the Burton Family Estate for a reissue of the Power Wah Fuzz, perfect for all your bass solos.
The Power Wah Fuzz had a wah sweep like no pedal at the time and its Optical Circuitry also gave it a unique flavor that contributed to Cliff’s thunderous sound. Morley has now reissued and modernized this classic pedal as a tribute to the bassist, because look – the world needs more Burton-styled solos.
“The Burton family is thrilled to have Morley releasing this pedal as a Tribute to Cliff and his legacy,” said the Burton family of the pedal. “This is not only for his existing fans but for a new generation of musicians as well.”
The new Power Wah Fuzz is equipped with Morley’s famous Switchless Activation, which allows you to start at the more desirable lower end of the sweep. The wah circuit has a 15db level control perfect for pushing your signal above the mix, and sports Morley’s Glow-in-the-Dark treadle and toe sticker that not only look great but help you find your pedal on the darkest of stages.
“One of my first pedals was a Morley Wah so the brand has always been close to my heart,” said Morley owner Scott Fietsam. “When I acquired Morley, I made it my mission to be the best steward I possibly could for the brand.
“I want players to experience the same joy that I had with my first Morley. We are honored to now shepherd the legacy of Cliff Burton, quench the thirst of his loving fans, and to expose his genius to the next generation of players.”
