Bad news for synth players around the world – after five years, Moog is discontinuing their Subsequent 25. The Subsequent 25 was based on the legendary analog Sub Phatty, and was sadly discontinued as of March 13. The good-ish news is that Sweetwater currently has it on sale for $699 – down $300 from its usual $999 price tag. Check out that sale here (or grab one here on Reverb).
“Introduced as an evolution of Sub Phatty’s analog design, Subsequent 25 refined Moog’s warmth, depth, and character while offering modern connectivity and enhanced capabilities,” wrote Moog. “From its bass and lead tones to its performance features, Subsequent 25 carried forward our commitment to hands-on synthesis.
“Effective March 13th, 2025, we will be indefinitely suspending production of Subsequent 25 and offering the remaining available units through our global dealer network.”
