Misfits guitarist Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein has launched his new Von Frankenstein Monster Gear brand. The company has announced its first effort in the gear world, which is a series of strings for Doyle and signature sets for Jeff Loomis, Logan Mader, and Gary Holt.
The Doyle string sets are the Abominator, which are .010 to .060; the Decapitaters at .010, .013, .018, .030, .042, and .065); and the Monsters at .010, .013, .017, .028, .038, and .052.
“These strings are far superior to anything I’ve used before,” said Von Frankenstein. “We went through many different alloys and configurations to find the perfect combination of crushing tone, strength, durability, and most of all: feel.”
Then there are the Loomis sets featuring the Nemesis at .011 through .056 and Sentient 6 and .009 – .046, as well as the seven-string set of the The Seven Strings of God at .009 through 0.062. Holt has his own with the Toxic Rocks and Collateral Damage, as does Mader with his seven-string set the Low-G 7 String. Check ’em out here.
