MIKE SCHEIDT’s Gnarwhal Gets a Signature, Limited-Run From DUNABLE

After years of building custom instruments for Yob mastermind Mike Scheidt, Dunable Guitars has finally rolled out a limited custom-shop run of Scheidt’s Gnarwhal built to the exact specs of the guitar he’s been wielding onstage across the world.

Mike’s signature Gnarwhal centers on a shorter, faster 24.75″ Scale – a departure from the standard model, chosen for its slinkier feel and expressive responsiveness. Whether he’s delivering meditative clean passages or tectonic doom riffs, this scale length makes the guitar incredibly immediate under the fingers.

The entire instrument is constructed from Black Limba, both Body and Neck, chosen not only for its striking visual character but for its deep, singing resonance – a crucial element in Scheidt’s dynamic playing style. It’s finished in a Thin Charcoal Burst Lacquer.

The Gnarwhal ships stock with the High-Wind Imperial, Mike’s absolute favorite humbucker from the artisan team at Lollar Pickups. Known for their exceptional clarity, muscular midrange, and dynamic sensitivity, these pickups excel in everything from atmospheric cleans to planet-crushing gain.

Only seven of these guitars are being built. Each instrument includes a hard shell case, a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Mike Scheidt; and the exact specs, finish, feel, and pickup configuration of Scheidt’s personal stage guitar.

Get it here for $3,650 and keep up with all our Dunable Guitars coverage right here!
