Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett is the latest metal artist to join the Gibson family. Which really isn’t that shocking, considering Hammett has been seen playing Gibson Flying V and Les Paul models throughout the years.
Gibson hasn’t announced any sort of Hammett-related signature model yet, but in the meantime you can check out his introductory chat with Gibson Brands President Cesar Gueikian below. Plus who knows, maybe now that Hammett and Dave Mustaine are both signed to Gibson, we’ll see the two play together?
On a related note, it looks like Hammett is still signed on to ESP as well. Or at least that’s what his Instagram makes it sound like.
