Megadeth guitarist and vocalist Dave Mustaine signed to Gibson earlier this year and is now introducing his first signature model with the brand.
The Dave Mustaine Flying V EXP brings a 25.5″ scale Mahogany neck with a 24-fret Ebony fretboard and compound fretboard radius. The guitar features an Explorer-style headstock with Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners with Kidney buttons, a Graph Tech nut, Tune-O-Matic bridge, and a Stop Bar tailpiece. The Dave Mustaine Flying V EXP comes loaded with Mustaine’s own signature Seymour Duncan Thrash Factor pickups and is available in both an Antique Natural and a Silver Metallic nitrocellulose lacquer finish, complete with black hardware.
Both are available here for $2,799 in limited quantities. A wider release of units is planned for February 2022. This also shouldn’t be too shocking, considering we saw an earlier version of the signature model back in February when Mustaine signed to Gibson.
