Developed by Abasi Concepts in collaboration with Córdoba, the Stage 7 is a ground-up redesign. Built on the Larada ergonomic platform and informed by Córdoba’s Stage solidbody concept, it represents a completely new category: a nylon-string instrument engineered specifically for modern, amplified performance.
Right away, the construction sets it apart. A thin, extensively chambered Mahogany body keeps weight down while delivering a natural, organic nylon response. Custom internal bracing enhances resonance, while the solidbody format minimizes feedback—solving one of the biggest challenges of using nylon guitars at stage volumes.
Where the Stage 7 truly breaks new ground is in its layout. A full 7-string configuration tuned B to E opens up an extended range rarely seen in nylon instruments. The Multiscale design enhances string tension and clarity, delivering a piano-like low end while preserving articulate highs.
Even more striking is the inclusion of 24 frets — virtually unheard of in traditional nylon-string design. Combined with narrower string spacing, the result is an instrument that feels instantly playable to electric guitarists.
Electronics are equally forward-thinking. A custom pickup system co-developed with Fishman blends an under-saddle transducer with internal body sensors, capturing both the direct attack and the resonance of the instrument. The result is a natural, balanced amplified tone that avoids the brittle harshness often associated with piezo systems.
An onboard preamp provides Volume, EQ, and Body Blend controls, giving players precise command over their sound in any environment. Whether you’re dialing in a warm, intimate tone or pushing into more percussive, modern textures, the Stage 7 responds with clarity and nuance.
