JACKSON Brings the Rhoads Shape Home: Introducing the American Series Rhoads RR24 and RR24 HT

Today, Jackson has unveiled the American Series Rhoads RR24 and RR24 HT, bringing one of the most legendary shapes in heavy music into its prestigious U.S.-built lineup. Born from Randy Rhoads’ 1980 collaboration with Grover Jackson, the offset V body was designed for blazing speed and fearless stage presence – and now it returns with modern craftsmanship and premium American construction.

The new American Series Rhoads guitars feature Alder bodies, three-piece neck-through construction, and a 12”-16” compound radius Ebony fingerboard loaded with jumbo stainless steel frets. Players can expect searing tone from a pair of USA-made Seymour Duncan JB and ’59 humbuckers, delivering the brutal clarity and harmonic richness that defined Rhoads’ sound.

Available in two models, the RR24 HT comes equipped with a Hipshot hardtail bridge for rock-solid stability and effortless tuning changes, while the RR24 features a recessed Floyd Rose 1500 Series double-locking tremolo for divebombs, squeals, and expressive flourishes without sacrificing pitch accuracy.

To introduce the guitars, Jackson tapped modern metal titans Brandon Ellis (The Black Dahlia Murder) and Jeff Loomis (Arch Enemy), who put the new Rhoads axes through their paces in a blistering demo video. Both players praised the builds for their American-made quality, tour-ready durability, and cutting-edge features like stainless steel hardware, glow-in-the-dark side dots, and spoke-wheel truss adjustment.

“The American Series Rhoads was created to bring the legendary shape that metal guitarists have coveted for decades to a new generation,” said Jon Romanowski, VP of Product at Jackson. “It’s about honoring the past while delivering the uncompromising performance today’s players demand.”

With its sharp lines, fearless tone, and unmistakable legacy, the American Series Rhoads RR24 and RR24 HT deliver a modern reimagining of Randy’s vision: guitars built for speed, precision, and the heaviest riffs imaginable.
