J. Rockett is here to pay tribute to the famous vintage 660 studio compressor with their brand new Airchild Six Sixty Compressor.
The Airchild Six Sixty Compressor was born from J. Rockett‘s use of the the original 660 and 670 (Stereo) compressors in the studio, and brought into reality well under the $100k price tag that the originals fetch. J. Rockett notes that the Airchild Six Sixty Compressor specifically avoids crushing your signal, and instead works like a studio compressor which enhances harmonic richness and evens out transients without crushing the entire spectrum.
“The typical iconic guitar compressor has created very recognizable tones throughout the history of music, especially Country music,” wrote the company. “That being said we felt that there were already too many clones of that legendary circuit with few other variants available.”
