IK Multimedia is celebrating two years of their TONEX capture-sharing platform with a whole slew of new goodies.
IK Multimedia has announced a free update for the TONEX ecosystem with 8 new effects, a new Anniversary Edition TONEX Pedal, an AmpliTube 5 X update with enhanced TONEX integration, and a TONEX Tone Marathon with new Signature Collections each month, beginning with an official collection from RedSeven Amplification.
The free update offers two delays, chorus, flanger, tremolo, phaser and rotary (all tap-tempo), plus a new spring reverb. Two new effects blocks can be configured pre- or post-amp and cab for maximum customization. The eight effects are also compatible with TONEX Mac/PC. The software and firmware updates will be available in November.
Then there’s the AmpliTube 5 X update which provides search filter options by Type, Instrument, Character, Favorite and Skin. Users can drag and drop Tone Models into the AmpliTube gear chain or load them by Skin from the right panel. A new “Open TONEX App” button adds immediate access to the app for editing, renaming or downloading more Tone Models from ToneNET.
And finally, there’s the White anniversary TONEX pedal. Handmade in Italy in a custom white finish, the pedal comes pre-loaded with 150 Premium Tone Models of the best vintage and modern tones created by select Tone Partners, including The Studio Rats, Amalgam Audio, Worship Tutorials, Tone Junkie, and Jason Sadites.
