Finished in Black and built around the familiar SR silhouette, the SR3506 represents the upper tier of Ibanez’s Prestige line, offering elite components, meticulous fretwork, and a tonal range designed for demanding professional players.

At the core of the SR3506 is an Alder body, chosen for its balanced response, clear attack, and strong fundamental. The neck is Ibanez’s Atlas-6 HP profile, constructed from a five-piece Roasted Maple and Walnut laminate using the company’s S-TECH Wood roasting process. The neck’s 34″ scale length, slim carve, and 500mm radius make extended-range playing comfortable and controlled across all six strings.

The Rosewood fingerboard features Mother Of Pearl And Abalone Oval Inlays and 24 medium frets with Ibanez’s Prestige Fret Edge Treatment. This attention to fret finishing results in a noticeably smooth feel, allowing for effortless position shifts and precise intonation, even during fast or technically demanding passages. Luminlay side dots ensure visibility on dark stages, reinforcing the SR3506’s role as a true touring instrument.

Electronics are handled by a pair of Nordstrand Big Single pickups with wood covers, mounted in the neck and bridge positions. These soapbar-sized single coils deliver a powerful, aggressive voice with the clarity and articulation that single-coil designs are known for.

They feed into the Ibanez Sonitech Preamp, a highly flexible 3-band EQ system that includes an EQ bypass switch and a 3-way mid-frequency selector utilizing the Hexa Mid system. This allows access to six distinct midrange frequencies across two selectable banks, giving players fine control over presence, punch, and cut in any mix.

Hardware choices reflect the Prestige ethos throughout. The MR5S Bridge offers adjustable string spacing, accommodating individual playing preferences while maintaining solid sustain and tuning stability. A Graph Tech Black TUSQ XL nut and Gotoh machine heads ensure smooth tuning and reliable performance, while the Gold hardware adds a refined visual contrast against the Black finish.
