IBANEZ Drops New Xiphos in Eye-Catching Rose Gold Chameleon Finish

Ibanez is once again pushing the classic Xiphos body to the front with a brand new, Rose Gold finish. It rules, as you’d might guess.

At the core of the Ibanez Xiphos XPT420DX is an aggressively styled Okoume Body, paired with Neck-Through Construction that delivers rock-solid structural integrity and exceptional natural sustain. The heart of the XPT420DX’s performance lies in its 5-Piece Maple/Walnut Wizard III Neck, one of Ibanez’s fastest and most player-friendly profiles to date.

Topping the neck is a Rosewood Fingerboard fitted with 24 Jumbo Frets, offering ample real estate for wide bends and fluid soloing across the entire register. Thanks to the neck-through design, the heel is virtually nonexistent.

Plug in, and the XPT420DX reveals its tonal muscle courtesy of a pair of Ibanez Quantum Humbuckers. These ceramic-powered pickups are voiced for modern high-gain performance, delivering a tight low end, an assertive midrange, and enough top-end bite to keep complex riffs and solos cutting cleanly through dense mixes.

With a 3-Way Pickup Selector, Master Volume, and Master Tone, players have immediate control over everything from snarling lead tones to crushing rhythm sounds.

No extreme guitar would be complete without a tremolo system that can handle serious punishment, and the Edge-Zero II Double-Locking Tremolo delivers in spades. Designed for stability and precision, this knife-edge trem excels at everything from subtle vibrato to full-on dive-bombs and harmonic screams.
