TuneTone recently teamed up with Max Heidemann of Heidemann Guitars to create a vibrato for the TeenyTuna guitar, though with a twist – it’s entirely designed to be used with your palm.
“An available upgrade to the TeenyTuna, the Palm Vibrato is a palm actuated vibrato system that allows players to achieve lush flutters and warbles while keeping their hand in their natural and intuited playing position,” said TunaTone. “Designed by Max Heidemann of Heidemann Instruments, the vibrato boasts a tool-less locking mechanism that turns the guitar into a hardtail easily and on the fly, smooth operation and great tuning stability.”
“We were curious to design a particularly ergonomic system,” added TunaTone luthier Leila Sidi. “The Palm Vibrato is a palm actuated vibrato system that allows players to achieve lush flutters and warbles while keeping their hand in their natural and intuited playing position.”
