The partnership between Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine and Gibson has yielded yet another Flying V. This time the duo has created the Dave Mustaine Flying V EXP Rust In Peace, which if you haven’t guessed already pays tribute to the band’s classic thrash-terpiece Rust In Peace.
The Dave Mustaine Flying V EXP Rust In Peace offers a 25.5″ scale Mahogany neck with an Ebony fretboard and a compound fretboard radius, 24 medium jumbo frets, two-tone green/pearloid Rust In Peace diamond inlays, and Dave Mustaine’s signature on the truss rod cover. Does the signature imbue a certain magic into the guitar? Probably not, but maybe. Who knows. Elsewhere, the Dave Mustaine Flying V EXP Rust In Peace offers a Flying V-style body with Stop Bar tailpiece and two Dave Mustaine signature Seymour Duncan Thrash Factor pickups.
