Gibson has just unveiled their Custom Color Series of the classic ES-335 and ES-335 Figured models. The Gibson ES-335 arrives in Watermelon, Spearmint, Ocean Blue, and an exclusive Goldtop finishes; while the ES-335 Figured is available in Blood Moon Burst, Deep Ocean Burst, Honey Amber, and an exclusive Ocean Water Perimeter finishes.
Other than that, it’s business as usual for the ES-335 and ES-335 Figured. The ES-335‘s body is crafted with layered Maple/Poplar/Maple for the top, back, and sides with a Solid Maple centerblock. The Mahogany neck has a Rounded “C” profile with a Rosewood fretboard with a 12″ radius and 22 medium jumbo frets.
A Graph Tech nut and Vintage Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons help maintain tuning stability, while the nickel-plated ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge and aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece anchor the strings solidly at the other end to deliver the outstanding sustain that the ES-335 is famous for.
Then there’s the Gibson ES-335 Figured featuring a 3-ply AAA figured Maple/Poplar/Maple top, back, and sides with quarter-sawn Adirondack Spruce bracing alongside all the aforementioned. Get ’em both here – the Gibson ES-335 goes for $3,499 and the Gibson ES-335 Figured goes for $3,999.
