From Japan To America: FENDER Unveils The RICHIE KOTZEN Stratocaster

Previously available only in Japan, the Richie Kotzen Stratocaster is now getting its moment in the global spotlight. Designed for high-performance players, the guitar features a comfortably contoured ash body, a thick “C”-shaped maple neck, and 22 Super Jumbo frets — perfect for those big bends and rapid-fire runs Kotzen is known for. It’s loaded with custom DiMarzio pickups, distinctive gold hardware, Gotoh tuners with pearl buttons, and an elegant flame maple top in Trans-Burst finishes.

“I love the shape of a Strat, because when you hold a guitar it feels like you’re connected to it,” Kotzen said. “It feels like part of your body… the most important thing is to be true to yourself so that, when you play, it sounds like you.”

Fender and Kotzen go way back. In fact, their first signature collaborations date all the way back to 1995. And this new release marks a continuation of that creative partnership, one built on mutual respect and a shared belief in pushing musical limits.

“Richie Kotzen is an iconic guitarist whose captivating playing style has inspired audiences globally,” said Justin Norvell, EVP of Product and Sales at Fender. “With its characteristic gold hardware, contoured body, and super jumbo frets offering exceptional versatility, Fender is proud to continue honoring Kotzen’s impressive legacy.”

Get the Richie Kotzen Stratocaster here for $1,779.99 in either See-Thru White Burst or Transparent Red Burst.
