Friedman has just rolled out their IR-X Dual Tube Preamp and it pretty much does exactly what the name implies it does.
The IR-X features two channels with Boost Volume, Volume, Tremble, Middle, Bass, and Gain controls. Both channels feature their own independent and highly tweakable Boost circuits, effectively giving you four channels to choose from. The IR-X also offers a 3-Way Bright-Switch, 2-Way Tight-Switch, Three position CAB/IR Select, and boost volume and gain controls for additional tweaks.
The IR-X is compatible with Friedman’s IR-X Editor software, meaning you can customize each channel’s power amp simulation via the thump and presence controls, load your favorite IRs, activate the Boost Lock feature, select loop ON/OFF and save it all to 128 MIDI presets. The IR-X software includes 12 free Friedman IRs to choose from.
