“The story behind my signature Sterling by Music Man StingRay starts with me touring all over the place, swapping strings in the rain, in cold trailers — basically in every less-than-ideal situation you can imagine,” said Fluff of the guitar. “What makes these guitars special is that they’re an extension of my custom Music Man USA instruments I hauled around the world and really beat up.

“Despite the lower price point, the StingRay line still manages to pack in features I couldn’t get on my original guitars. We’ll dive into those details next, but the big idea is this: you’re getting the road-tested spirit of my custom axes, refined and made more accessible for everyone.”

At the heart of the Ryan “Fluff” Bruce Signature StingRay is a familiar offset double cutaway body, crafted from Nyatoh for a full and resonant tone. A Roasted Maple neck runs through the center while locking tuners hold things down tight. Add in a hardtail bridge with vintage bent saddles anchors and you’ve got a rock solid foundation.

Under the hood, Seymour Duncan pickups do the heavy lifting. At the neck sits the SJBJ-1n JB Jr., a single-coil-sized humbucker that delivers fat mids and surprising clarity. In the bridge, the TB-4 JB Trembucker brings the thunder with high output, razor-sharp attack and the kind of growl that slices through any mix. The Ryan “Fluff” Bruce Signature StingRay also offers up a minimalist control layout with just one volume knob and a 3-way toggle selector.

What truly sets Ryan “Fluff” Bruce Signature StingRay apart is the custom aesthetic and spec split between its two striking finishes. The Amana Boat Blue model comes with a Roasted Maple fingerboard and black dot inlays, paired with a sleek black pickguard for a crisp, modern look.

On the other side, the Rula Thumb Red version opts for a Rosewood fingerboard and white dot markers, matched with a white pickguard for a generally lighter look. Both models feature the same core specs: 25.5” scale length, 12” radius, 22 frets, and a 5-bolt neck attachment.
