Fender and Bruno Mars have teamed up for a brand new signature model and it’s sleek as hell.
The Limited Edition Bruno Mars Stratocaster offers a sculpted Ash American Ultra body in Mars Mocha Heirloom nitrocellulose lacquer finish, a 9.5″-12″ compound-radius Maple fingerboard, and stainless-steel frets. The Bruno Mars Stratocaster comes with custom Bruno Mars Stratocaster pickups, 2-Point Synchronized Tremolo and Deluxe Locking Tuners, and a full complement of Heirloom Aged Gold Hardware.
“One of the biggest challenges we had in developing this guitar was the finish, and it was inspired by a vintage guitar that was in his studio at one point,” said Patrick Harberd, Senior Product Manager, of the guitar’s unique finish. “It was this beautiful Red Metallic finish that had aged over the last 50 years, and all the red had faded out of it. So in this particular guitar what remained was this beautiful, complex kind of rich almost like a root beer, golden brown color.”
