Fender has unveiled the American Ultra Luxe Vintage series, a high-end collection that fuses golden-era Fender style with cutting-edge performance features. Building on the foundation of the American Ultra II line, these new instruments reimagine the brand’s most iconic Stratocaster and Telecaster designs with historically accurate details, state-of-the-art playability upgrades, and an heirloom-quality finish.
At the center of the lineup are ’50s- and ’60s-inspired Stratocaster and Telecaster models, each equipped with Pure Vintage pickups and S-1 Switching for authentic tones that span shimmering cleans to snarling leads. Every guitar comes dressed in Fender’s Meticulously Aged Heirloom Nitrocellulose Lacquer, a finish designed to let the wood breathe and wear naturally over time, while a quartersawn maple neck and stainless steel frets ensure durability and effortless playability.
The range includes the ’50s Stratocaster, with Pure Vintage ’57 pickups and an ash or alder body; the ’60s Stratocaster, with Pure Vintage ’61 pickups and alder body; and the ’60s Stratocaster HSS, pairing two Pure Vintage ’61 single coils with a Haymaker humbucker for expanded tonal range. Telecaster fans get two flavors: the ’50s Telecaster with Pure Vintage ’51 pickups and ash body, and the ’60s Custom Telecaster, loaded with Pure Vintage ’63 pickups and an alder body.
Across the series, players will find a Modern ‘D’ neck profile, Ultra rolled fingerboard edges, Luminlay side dots, and tapered neck heels for unimpeded upper-fret access. Hardware is equally premium: precision-engineered bridges, deluxe locking tuners, cold rolled steel tremolo blocks on Strat models, and premium brass or chromed brass saddles on Tele models.
