After months and months of Epiphone releasing Adam Jones Silverburst Les Paul Customs with artwork adorning the back of the body, we’ve finally just got a plain old Jones Les Paul with a boring back.

The Epiphone Adam Jones 1979 Les Paul – named by Jones himself as “one of my top favorite guitars of all time” – has a three-piece Maple neck with a custom Adam Jones profile, an Ebony fretboard, and a Mahogany body with a Maple cap. The guitar sports the infinitely Jones-styled Antique Silverburst finish and comes with an Epiphone LockTone Tune-o-matic bridge and tailpiece.
One notable difference from the Jones Custom Art series is the reverse-mounted Gibson Custombucker in the neck and a Seymour Duncan Distortion in the bridge, instead of a Seymour Duncan DDJ in the bridge.

Interestingly, the Epiphone Adam Jones 1979 Les Paul also has a Gibson “open book” headstock profile with custom artwork on the headstock’s rear that was designed by Joyce Su and Adam Jones, and even comes with a replica two-inch convex mirror included in the Deluxe Protector Series hardshell case. Because listen man, there was gonna be artwork somewhere on this thing.
