EPIPHONE Goes Fretless With New JACK CASADY Model

Epiphone has teamed up with Jack Casady, founding member of Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna, for a brand new signature fretless bass. Which is good news considering Casady’s prolific output over the years – it’s about time the man got a fretless one.

The Jack Casady Fretless Bass features the Casady-designed JCB-1 Low-Impedance Humbucker, and a three-position rotary impedance control for a wide range of tonal versatility. The offers up an archtop Layered Maple body, a Mahogany neck with a Laurel fretboard, and an Imitation Bone nut. Now, for the first time in a Fretless version, the Epiphone Jack Casady Bass comes with a premium gig bag.

Also, if you’ve ever seen the fretted version of the Jack Casady bass, then you know pretty much what to expect. The Jack Casady Fretless Bass is available here for $849 in an Aged Tan finish. You can also grab one of the many fretted versions here as well in a variety of finishes.
