Epiphone is throwing things back to 1963 with two brand new models, the Firebird I and Firebird V.

First up is the Firebird I, which delivers vintage Firebird specifications at an accessible price, including a 9-ply neck-through-body made of Mahogany and Walnut with Mahogany body wings. The Firebird I employs Kluson planetary geared “banjo” tuners, while a Wraparound Lightning Bar bridge holds things down on the body side.
In keeping with the original vintage 1963 Firebird I’s stripped-down specifications, the Epiphone Firebird I includes a Gibson USA Firebird mini humbucker pickup with Alnico 5 magnets, CTS potentiometers, a Mallory capacitor, and a Switchcraft 1/4″ output jack.
Get it here for $1,299.99 in Heather Poly, Silver Mist, and Inverness Green finishes.

Then there’s the Firebird V, which features largely the same specs as the Firebird I with a few tweaks. The Firebird V has an Epiphone ABR bridge and newly redesigned Maestro Vibrola, as well as two Gibson USA Firebird mini humbucker pickups with Alnico 5 magnets.
Get it here for $1,699.99 in Frost Blue or Ember Red finishes.
