Epiphone has introduced what they’ve dubbed “the next generation of Epiphone’s classic Kat archtop” with the new and improved UpTown Kat ES.
The new UpTown Kat ES features a true ES-style semi-hollowbody archtop with newly designed Epiphone ProBucker FB720 mini humbuckers, Graph Tech nut, ebony fingerboard, and Grover Rotomatic tuners. The UpTown Kat ES also looks cool as all hell in its new colors Sapphire Blue Metallic, Ruby Red Metallic, Emerald Green Metallic, and Topaz Gold Metallic. Plus, with its gold hardware, gold back, and 5-ply binding against its new finishes, there’s really nothing not to love.
The UpTown Kat ES has a maple and poplar laminate body, and features a solid centerblock that performs double duty by enabling long-lasting sustain and resisting feedback. The UpTown Kat ES has individual volume knobs for each pickup with a master tone and master volume, as well as a LockTone ABR bridge with a trapeze tailpiece.
All four finishes of the UpTown Kat ES are available here for $599.
