Calling all riff architects, sonic explorers, and low-frequency junkies – your new favorite instrument has arrived. Meet the Asteroid VI, a limited-run VI-style extended baritone guitar designed to be tuned a full octave below standard E. This isn’t just another baritone, it’s a purpose-built, tone-optimized six-string deep-space weapon that might make you leave traditional guitars in the dust.
This is the first-ever production run of the Asteroid VI, and once they’re gone, that’s it for the foreseeable future. If you’ve ever dreamed of writing doom riffs with the authority of a freight train or adding bass-like texture to your ambient tracks without sacrificing playability.
At its core, the Asteroid VI is built with tone, playability, and perfect balance in mind. The 30.75″ scale length offers tight low-end response while maintaining guitar-like comfort. A Swamp Ash body keeps the weight manageable, and the Maple neck with a striking Pale Moon Ebony fingerboard ensures rock-solid stability and natural resonance.
Visibility in dark environments is no problem, thanks to Luminlay dot inlays and side dots. The Hipshot hardtail bridge and brass string-through ferrule block provide excellent sustain and rock-steady intonation, while Graph Tech Ratio tuners and a Graph Tech Tusq nut ensure accurate, stable tuning—no neck dive, no drama.
Electronics are no afterthought here. The Asteroid VI is loaded with a Dunable Katana single-blade pickup in the neck—hot, articulate, and great for thick cleans or modulated textures. In the bridge, a Dunable Baphomet humbucker delivers massive, focused power without getting muddy – perfect for metal, shoegaze, and everything in between.
Controls are straightforward: one volume, one tone. Simplicity meets utility. You’ll be slinging sub-E riffs straight out of the box, strung with D’Addario Bass VI strings and set up for E standard (84–24 gauge).
Every Asteroid VI ships in a hard case and includes a Dunlop Jacquard strap (long enough for any height), three sets of D’Addario Bass VI strings, and a pack of Tortex picks – a complete starter kit for extended-range exploration.
Want a finish other than black? Place your order before July 10 and shoot the builders a message to select a different satin nitrocellulose lacquer color.
Production is limited, and all units will ship no later than July 25. If you’ve been waiting for the perfect crossover between guitar and bass, don’t sleep – this is a rare run that might not return. Get it here.
