DIMEBAG’s Warhead Amp Is Back, But Smaller

Dimebag Darrell’s legendary Warhead guitar amp has finally made its way to market after over a year of teasing. Whether not it’s what you were expecting is an entirely different thing.

The Warhead is back as a 40-watt lunchbox amplifier instead of a full-fledged amp. The new version was masterminded by KHDK Electronics’ David Karon and featured input from Dimebag’s longtime guitar tech Grady Champion, as well as Rita Haney.

The new Warhead was tested at length by Zakk Wylde during Pantera rehearsals and Champion truly believes it would’ve gotten the Dimebag seal of approval.

“It’s like having a little piece of Dime with you everywhere,” said Champion. “Dime would be so proud of this right now.”

According to the Warhead site, “You’re getting the same 40-watt, single-channel, solid-state power amp, crafted with input from Dimebag’s closest crew.” They added: “With the same pre-EQ circuits and exact settings, this amp delivers pure, unfiltered Dimebag tone.”

Get the Warhead here for $529.99.
