DigiTech recently unveiled their all-new HammerOn Instantaneous Pitch-shifter, which is exactly what it sounds like – a pitch shifter that imitates hammer ons (and subsequently pull-offs), from the believable to the ridiculous. The HammerOn offers 27 total pitches to choose from, ranging from two octaves up all the way down to two sub octaves. Two footswitches provide a versatile approach to pitch shifting. The Pitch 1 switch acts as a dedicated hammer-on-style pitch shifter, while Pitch 2 footswitch can be configured with a trio of unique modes: Hammer On, Impossible, and Sequence.
The HammerOn has three modes – Hammer On, where second footswitch matches the operation of the first one; Impossible, which alternates between a duo of fully separate and selectable pitch-shift settings; and Sequence 2, 3, 5, which offers a latching and instant pitch shift that runs through a set of user-definable pitches.
