DARKGLASS Introduces New Microtube X 900 Amp

Darkglass is back with yet another way to have your instruments sound as good as they can (and by “good” I mean “fucking chunky”), this time in the form of the X 900. The X 900 takes after Darkglass’ X series pedals and offers an all-analog preamp, a 900 watt Class D amplifier, and an ultra-quiet 6-band graphic equalizer.

Elsewhere, the X 900 features a Passive/Active button; an X button turn on or off the Microtubes X Engine, which allows you to compress and distort your bass signal in two separate bands; which allows you to compress and distort your bass signal in two separate bands. And finally, the X 900 brings with it MIDI for channel switching, muting programmability, an impulse response cabinet simulation with up to three different storable virtual cabinets, auxiliary input, and a headphone output.

Oh, and don’t worry – Darkglass, now owned by Korg, is still pretty stoked about their new stuff. “The launch of the X 900 marks a significant milestone as we present what we believe is our best amp yet,” said Marcos Barilatti, Darkglass Managing Director.
