Darkglass Electronics is coming clean with their brand new, ultra-clean Luminal Booster Ultra pedal. Long story short, the Luminal Booster Ultra combines the rich tone of the Harmonic Booster with the precision of an adjustable frequency range parallel compression to really give you some serious control.
Up top, the Luminal Booster Ultra offers four controls – Filter to adjust the lowpass filter for the compressed signal, Blend to blend clean and compressed signal, Comp to adjust the amount of compression applied, and Level to adjust the level of the compressor after the blend control. Then there’s a whole EQ band, a Boost knob for +-20dB boost or cut, and a Character knob that allows you to press it and select between 7 IRs.
The Luminal Booster Ultra offers an extra layer of versatility, allowing the user to change the order of the Compression and Harmonic Booster engines by long-pressing the left footswitch, you can enable either the blue or red mode. The Ultra is also compatible with the Darkglass Suite desktop app, allowing you to load in different IRs.
